BEFORE AND AFTER SHOTS OF SOME TREATMENTS
Your questions:
How long does the treatment take?
The entire procedure takes approximately 20 minutes.
Is this procedure safe?
Yes – when performed by an experienced physician, or a qualified, experienced esthetician under a physician’s supervision.
Are there any side effects?
Possible side effects may include mild redness, drying and/or flaking of the skin, itching, and swelling. Having a proper assessment before your treatment will help predict the outcome of your peel.
Is there anyone who should not have a peel?
Yes – if you have a history of allergies, rashes, or other skin reactions; are allergic to Aspirin®; have taken Accutane® in the past year or received chemotherapy or radiation therapy; are pregnant or breastfeeding; or are under the age of 12.
Will my skin really peel?
For many people, approximately 48 hours after the treatment the skin will start to peel. That effect will last 2 to 5 days.
What if I don’t peel?
Not every patient experiences a physical peeling of the skin, but that is not an indication that the treatment was not successful.
